- I totally agree, Tea.  It would be helpful to have a more uniform system of voting across the country.  Of course, then we would be stepping on states' rights.

- Dusty, that is such an incredibly easy solution that it can't possibly work.  It hasn't been studied by consultants, debated in Congress, and implemented expensively.

- Kurt, victimization is something you will hear few Republicans claim.  The majority of Republicans are hard-working, fiscally conservative people who pay their bills on time, earn what they have, and spend no more than they earn.

- justmyopinion -- Why would Republicans be expected to complain about the illegal voter registrations being purged?  You cite their lack of complaint as something wrong with them.  Republicans and Democrats alike should want the voter registrations to be accurate and legal.

- Bec, I hear you.  As you are working to register voters legally, I volunteered to serve as an election judge to do my small part in ensuring an honest voting process (at least in my precinct).  We have been warned of many things to expect on election day.

- Libertarian,  I think that many Republicans have the right to be frustrated and angry because their party is no longer representing them.

- Did you really just use Bill Clinton and propriety in the same sentence?  That is not my primary memory of his presidency.  But then again, maybe you weren't a parent of a child far too young to have to learn about "certain things" from his president.
