Just what did Obama do as a "Community Organizer?"

For months I have been trying to understand just what Obama did as a community organizer that warranted the emphasis he places on that time of his life.

- This is wrong on many levels: Dad recorded his reaction to post online, seeking his 15 minutes of fame. Media is giving him his 15 minutes of fame for this ridiculous reaction. Dad destroyed valuable property, and he doesn't look like someone who can afford to do so.

- Libertarian, you make a good point.  The Republican administration (and Congress) have "taken the step down the slippery slope towards Socialism with the Paulson bailout."

- pcb, How did I get included on that one?  I have conscientiously been civil and NEVER slurred anyone.  It's not my style.

- Bec, I hear you.  As you are working to register voters legally, I volunteered to serve as an election judge to do my small part in ensuring an honest voting process (at least in my precinct).  We have been warned of many things to expect on election day.

- Libertarian,  I think that many Republicans have the right to be frustrated and angry because their party is no longer representing them.

- Did you really just use Bill Clinton and propriety in the same sentence?  That is not my primary memory of his presidency.  But then again, maybe you weren't a parent of a child far too young to have to learn about "certain things" from his president.
